Good Afternoon,

I'm just sitting here watching the snow flurries and exploring this great site. Actually I've been exploring your site since Xmas when my wife got me a Masterbuilt Sportsman Elite 2 door propane smoker(a GS 30 D?? I think) and I'm hooked. There are not many BBQ places in the NE where I live, approximately 1/2 way between Boston, MA and Providence, RI, so I guess it's up to me to make it myself. I had built an open pit pig roaster on a trailer about 10 years ago(see pics) and had some great parties with it, but cooking 200-300 lb. porkers is not something I can do on a weekly basis anymore. I wanted to say Hi and express my amazement at the wealth info located on this one site. I'll have to have one of my kids show me how to take pics on my phone so I can include some Qview in future posts. you know your getting old when your smartphone is smarter than you are!

Welcome to SMF.  Yes, this place is loaded full of knowledge.  What's your plans with the gasser smoker, meaning what kind of meats are you planning to put in there?
