Can anybody help me and tell me why my new maverick has three lines on the remote. It's completely worthless to me if I have to keep going outside and looking at the temps on the transmitter. I have had it 6 inches away and still no change

I don't have a 733, but I do have a 732. I know there is a certain order I had to turn mine on. It was lines out in the directions. I'd start there. If you haven't already try new batteries. I haven't ised my 732 since I switched to the iGrill 2.

Glad you got tit working ! I always turn my receiver on first then the transmitter within a few seconds, and it usually pairs up perfectly. Tired batteries do tend to make it act a little odd sometimes though.

When I first switched on my ET-733 I had the same problem but it wasn't the batteries. I had to turn both units off a couple of times, take out and reinsert the probe plugs and then I got my readings. Since that first time it's worked great although the batteries on the receiver crapped out after about two uses. Put in better batteries and the unit's still going after about 3-4 smokes.
