I have been getting the SM newsletter for a year now and only recently found this forum last week. I have already learned several things. I use a Bradley smoker and have only been smoking food for about a year. I am excited to learn more so I can treat my Idaho friends.

Welcome to the madness. There is lots of really good information on here anything and everything you ever wanted to know about smoking meat.

I fish the Lochsa and Selway where they meet to form the middle arm of the Clearwater at Lowell

Thanks to everyone for the great welcome. A few weeks ago I did not have any idea what a fattie was or what ABT stood for. Now I have smoked both of these and in fact combined them. This weekend I ran out of little smokies to put in the ABT's so I substituted a piece of a cajun ABT. Seems this works very well.

Now it is off to smoke the guest of honor for Thursday. This will not be my first bird but I always learn something new each time one gives its life for science and the dinner table.

And just to let you know my wife does think I have a smoking addiction but enjoys the results.
