Howdy to every one out there in Smokin' Land.I am a Texan that burned his first brisket when I was 16 trying duplicate the flavor I had grown up on without the benifit of a teacher.I have owned and burned up more Brinkman Smokers (the black little R2D2) than I can remember being that this is a smoker that does almost everything for you with little effort.I now have a Brinkman like Box smoker that runs on propane and a 4 burner gas grille w/ the side burner, and have been told or asked why I don't open a smoke house and sell my food.Well I tell them"if I have to do it,I probably wouldn't enjoy it as much.I LOVE TO COOK.I cook 99% of everey meal eaten at home, and probably always will.I know that I can always stand to learn more about everything I love so I signed up to this site hear all the different ways you guys&gals do your best.I can always tweek my stuff to make it better and make new friends in the process...

Hey Scab,

Hardly sounds like your a newbie. I havn't been smoking anywhere near as long as you have, but otherwise, we sound pretty similar. I too love to cook and have found that smoking meat is one of my favorite ways to cook. I have picked up on a lot good advice from people in the forums. Please be sure to share what you know and post some pics next time you smoke something.

Look forward to learning from you.

Welcome to the SMF. Looking forward to your next smoke and Q View too!
