Typically we don't travel over the Labor Day holiday. This year some friends wanted to rent a house at the beach so we decided what the heck.

It was a blessing as the smoke at home from the forest fires was becoming unbearable. Not looking forward to returning today.

Place was advertised as having a BBQ. I packed a nice Tri tip to grill for our last dinner.

Well the BBQ as it turns out is a George Forman electric BBQ. I was skeptical but everything turned out okay.

Takes a good man to finish a tritip that nice on an electric bbq Case.

Great pics. Looks like a relaxing weekend.

Gary

Thank you Gary!

Yeah I won't be electric grilling anytime soon again! Going to have to fire up a Weber when I get home just to smell the charcoal!

Some great looking meat there, Case. And the cake was amazing. That meal just proves that it's the cook, not the cooker. Thumbs Up

Case,

Where along the Oregon coast were you? I'll be in Medford and then Coos bay later this month.  Looking forward to some Oregon costal living......for a couple days, at least...

Man hope there's some of Oregon left when you get here. Might be all burnt up by then.

We were at Oceanside and Netarts. It's north of Pacific City and due West of Tillamook. Great little beach community''s to play in for a few days.

Awe, the George... Nice cook on the electric Case! Love a good TT cook! Thumbs Up

The West is burning down I swear... The smoke is horrible! My shop is less than a hundred feet from the house & can see the haze in between... Hoping they can get these fires under control but things are so damned dry... Some rain would be nice! They are saying the one fire in Montana likely won't be put out til fall/winter... Damn!

Yeah it's bad. The smoke is a bit better at the moment here, but not great.

There's some kids gonna be in deep crap. The Eagle creek fire that is burning in the Columbia Gorge was caused by a group of teens from
Washington throwing firecrackers. I hope their parents have deep pockets.

Looks like a very relaxing time was had...

Ha! Not much to master if you know how to plug a cord into an outlet you can master the George!
