Texas Hill Country
Found this place searching for ideas/ways to smoke russet potatoes, poked around a while and decided I may just have to hang out here more often.

I currently live just southwest of Marble Falls, Texas in the beautiful hill country,

built my own smoker on a trailer about 7 years ago after looking at ideas and such for what seemed like my whole life.  It is a horizontal reverse flow, 24" x 5' cooking chamber with a 2' offset fire box.  I'll see if I can stir up some pictures.

Started smoking meats in college when my roommate turned me on to it with his small cheepo offset style like I am sure most of us have used one like through the years.  It was used when he got it from his dad, and we burned the firebox out of it in a couple of years.

Currently have a brisket and a couple of beer butt chickens on the smoker cause thats what the wife said she wanted for Valentines Day, so I would say I married well
