Just bought a propane vertical smoker at Lowes. Master Forge $150.00. Been using the indirect charcoal method for years, but went to a superbowl party this past weekend and had ribs that had been cooked six hours in a vertical smoker and they were the best I've ever had. I dont really know where to place different meats and cooking times. I've got three 1/2 racks of ribs on right now and I bought 5 chicken legs. The ribs are on top and I'm not really sure when to put the chicken on. I put ribs on at 2:00pm.

Welcome to the SMF you are going to learn a lot here. Can't wait to see some Qview and thoughts and idea's coming from your way. As far as the ribs I would suggest the 3-2-1 method. Check out the directions on the left side of the web page under the how to articles by Jeff.

I would say the legs will take around 3 hours but that depends on how hot you are smoking. But as Ace mentioned always put your poultry on the bottom. You don't want those juices dripping onto your other meat.
