TBS and the sunrise, Baby backs.

Discussion in 'Pork' started by rambeaux, Apr 23, 2016.

  1. There's something special about that TBS calmly weeping out from the stack to accompany the sunrise. Got 3 racks going in for my girls b-day party. Should be a great day!!

I was in a rush and just picked up some Weber Kansas rub. 2-2-1 worked great last time.

    Off we go!!

Looks like good pullback from the bone, did you foil them at all? What temp was the smoker at and how long?

  6. I did 2 hours with pecan/apple mix, no foil. After that I did 2 hours with the crutch (wrapped in foil). I put some light brown sugar, butter, and honey on both sides. Wrapped em up with the bones up. After that they went in for one more hour with a coat Sweet Baby Rays. Total of 5 hours, at 230-240*. My best work yet. They didn't last long.

Looking great.  Its always nice to sit in total silence beside the smoker and watch the sun come up.

Happy BDay to your young lady.

Nice day for smoking...... Nice looking ribs. Methinks you've cooked 'em before.

    Great job.
