I have been telling Dave54 that we need to upgrade to commercial food products since we started making sopprasada and our own sausage. He agreed and wanted to go half on everything.

So I went to the local bar and started putting the word out that we were in the market for some used commercial meat grinder and slicer.

Well this old friend of my uncle said he would hook me up for 100 dollars for an old Hobart grinder. I was very interested, so this guy bought me a few more beers and the price kept coming down.  So I was feeling no pain and the price was free ! So I called up my friends for labor and help ,fired up the old pick up and off to town we went to get our free meat grinder, did I mention it was a Hobart ? AS we were talking he said he had an old meat slicer too. I quickly said we would take it. It was an an old Globe slicer with enamel on it. But Free is my favorite four letter word!! So then asked what else we would like to have and we thought a stainless steel table would be nice , He asked us if 8 foot was too big. We told him no it was perfect !!So we loaded all the goodies and hauled them all home !!

You really hit a score there!  You might have trouble finding parts for that old Hobart.  I wouldn't worry about that cause they almost never break.

Good luck and good smoking.

Are you gonna be able to sleep knowing you got that for free. LOL Great haul
