OK, so maybe I'm only a mediocre noob.  :)

I just came into my first smoker (a Camp Chef SM24), and I am here to tap into the knowledge of my elders!  I look forward to asking lots of questions, hopefully only occasionally being told I;m an idiot, and most of all- learning the ways of good smoking and good eating.  I;m already craving that first brisket.  I get started tomorrow, with a couple chickens that are already meeting up with my home-grown dry rub.  (Not THAT kind of home grown, you silly savages....)

Happy to be here!

Be well

Welcome from SC, Uncle Flip. It's good to have you on this great site. There are lots of good folks who are always eager to share their ideas, recipes and tis. All you have to do is ask and keep reading. If you have a question of a general nature, go to the search bar at the top and ask away. There is a lot of info that wil come back thru there.

The only idiot that I know is one who sits on a question and never learns the answer.

Good luck and good smokin', Joe :grilling_smilie:
