Just a quick grill last night. Some tri-tip, spuds and grilled zucchini and broccoli.

Spuds coming off. Yes, that is a dinner plate.


Rubbed tri-tip


On the grill with a couple bacon & cheddar burgers.


Son's burgers. He's not big on steak, and with the price of steak, that's fine by me.


Off the grill to rest.

Saw some more trimmed tri-tip in a different store today. It looks similar to what I bought, so I guess it just depends on how you cut it.

I still think they look a bit odd. Just wondering if they are trimming them differently. The ones I posted hadn't been
"Peeled yet" (yes you can retry much peel that fat layer right off). But even once peeled the shape is a very distinct, boomerang shape, and covers a plate. Maybe out here in Tri Tip Country the cows at bigger!
