Wasn't sure where to put this so just stuck it here. Feel free to move it if necessary. There is this movie my wife makes me watch every couple years. OK, it's one of my favorites too, it's a really good movie. In it, the mother of the main character makes this wonderful looking breakfast for her daughter. Every time we've seen it, my wife mentions that she really wants to try the dish, but in 15 years or so, we've never gotten around to it. Until now. Start by making 2 holes in a large piece of bread. I used multigrain sourdough, but any kind will do. In the movie, I believe she used a normal piece of sandwich bread with only one hole, but this is what we had on hand and I was hungry. Toast the bread in butter. In an ideal world, you'd fry your bacon first, then toast the bread in the bacon fat. All we had was turkey bacon, so it needed a pat of butter. Then, once the first side is toasted, flip it and drop a little bit of butter into each hole. Then, and I'm sure you've guessed this part, plop an egg into each hole. Yeah, I broke one, but I wasn't fully awake yet. Serve it up with whatever you want. I wanted real bacon and/or sausage, but I was outvoted. A little Old Bay sprinkled on top because, well, ...I don't need a reason. Old Bay is awesome! If you don't like sunny side up, you can flip them once the bottom is set. I wasn't sure if that would work, but they held together surprisingly well. The wife likes sunny side up anyway, so I didn't bother with the flip. The trivia quiz? Name the movie. Bonus points if you can tell me both actresses involved in the scene.
