Stufz burger inspiration

Discussion in 'Beef' started by backyardgriller, Oct 10, 2010.

  1. Hi all,

I just purchased a Stufz burger stuffer this morning and can't wait to try it.  I live in the land of the Juicy Lucy.  The classic is a burger stuffed with usually cheddar or american cheese.  There is a local pub that serves several different stuffed burgers and I wanted to pass on the link to see if anyone could use their menu for continued stuffed burger inspiration.

Last time I was there, I had one of the winners of a contest they ran for new burgers.  It was stuffed with braised beef short rib, carmelized onions, gruyere cheese and a red wine reduction.  That was a tasty bit of work!

Anyway, here is the link.  I hope some of you can use this to further the glory of the stuffed burger.

I saw that one before too. I don't think it would be any easier. Once you get the hang of the Stuffz, it might be easier than the one with all the separate parts.

I thought maybe with the seperate parts and the big handle would make it easier

Thanks for the awesome menu backyardgriller! I just ordered the Stufz and as soon as I get it I am going to town!

Pande - that one looks interesting, I think I will order one to test them side by side. I like doing stuff (or should I say stufz) like that! Fun experimenting!

The only real problem I had was once I did a couple, my hands were so slippery, I had trouble rotating the unit, and the one little thing kept jumping out of the slot it had to be in.

LOL you are as big a cooking toy freak as me. I have all of the kitchen, part of the laundry room and one whole wall of my garage crammed with cooking toys

The stufz is really easy once ya make a few. Step #1 top unlocked to make the pocket. Step #2  top locked to make a seal. A little non stick helps along with cold meat. [IMG]

Funny fact. The inventor of burger pocket press was one of my first orders for a stufz. ( I wonder where he got his idea from?)

How about people use there own imaginations instead of copying others.

Well we finally meet ;) And wish you the best of success! But I did not copy your idea. I have been working on the Burger Pocket Press for well over a year. I had purchased your product because my Patent attorney had advised me to, so to make sure I was not infringing on your Patent Pending. I think we both came up with the idea about the same time. Trust me when I saw your product I was not happy as well I’m sure you felt the same way about mine. I thought I was the only one. Just look at it this way we can both change the way people eat burgers.I might look like I got deep pockets but I have sunk just about everything I got into this venture. I’m just a middle class family guy trying to make it big as I’m sure you are in the same boat.I do like that you were able to make it a self-contained unit. I never thought of that. I wish you the best of success

So which one do you like better! Sorry I had to ask. I say best of luck to both of you. MADE IN U.S.A. is the best part.  [IMG]
