stuffer issue

    I bought a 5 liter Smokehouse Chef vertical stuffer back in February or March. I have used it a few times now and I am having meat making it over the seal in the plunger. The seal is NOT an o-ring. This seal is open on one side and facing up. Should I get an o-ring for a seal?

    The opening of the seal should be facing down.

    :yeahthat: open side facing the meat.... the pressure from the meat causes the seal to flare outward creating the seal....

    It came facing up so I assumed that's how it went. Thanks for the heads up.
