So a storm blew through and one of my pecan trees toppled over.  Any advice on storing, drying, chopping, chipping it for smoking would surely be appreciated.

AuntDeb,  morning and welcome to the forum.....     cut and split it into usable lengths....  stack, under cover so it is out in the breeze.... a year from now you will be in hog heaven with Pecan wood.....   The wind blew over a Birch at my place yesterday...

Please take a moment and stop into " /Roll Call/   " and introduce yourself and get a proper welcome from our members.... Also, if you would note your location in your profile, it will help in the future when answering questions about smokin'...   elevation, humidity etc....

We're glad you stopped in and joined our group...    Enjoy the long smokey ride....     Dave
