SmokingAl, I love your new flat top.   I don't need any new toys but I sure would like to have one of those.    I am seriously considering it now.    Lord give the the strength to resist the urge to buy one.

I didn't need one either, but I sure love it.

Al... Been traveling and need to catch up on some cooks.  This one is outstanding brother. I need one of those griddles. But running out of room on the patio!

Thanks Brian,

I'm out of room too, but we managed to find a place for it.

Thanks for the point!!

I really am starting to look into these. I see the Camp Chef can also be used as a grill. Is this the major difference between the Black Stone and Camp Chef? Is the build quality between the two the same or similar? There is no store that carrys them to get a touch and feel so Amazon is my source.
If you read the reviews of the two the Camp Chef comes out on top. If you add the grill option to the Blackstone the price of the two is about the same. The Blackstone has a little bit larger area to cook on. I looked at a Blackstone at Lowe's & it's not built as well as the Camp Chef, IMHO. The real reason I chose the Camp Chef is because I know that if something goes bad, parts are easily obtained from Camp Chef. Hope this helps, let me know what you decide.

Look really good! Would love a flat top like that.[emoji]128077[/emoji]
Thank-you!

It's something that will get a lot of use around here.

Well heck that's half the price. I got mine for $399, no tax, free shipping. This thing weighs 145#. When you search click the video button. There's a guy that has both of them in his garage & is comparing them.

This thread is growing and growing! Jeff may have to change the forum name to S&GMF, smoking and griddling meat forums haha.
You know what Dude, after buying this it's almost as much fun as when I bought my first smoker.

We cooked breakfast, lunch & dinner on this guy.

Not only that Judy found a recipe for making homemade English muffins on the flat top. Of course she's going to find something to cook on it with dough involved.

If they turn out OK I'll start a thread on English muffins on a griddle.

WE are having some fun!!!
