Startin my UDS build today

Just got home with the drum,grill,gtate and  a thermometer. Gonna head back out later to get the rest of the parts, wish me luck.

Took off half the paint with Bix stripper, I've got a couple pallets burning it now.

Should the air intakes extend beneth the coal basket, or just into the drum?

My intakes just go inside the drum.

Finished the drum tonight. Might add some hooks and a shelf later but done for now. I will season it tomorrow and I am gonna smoke some turkey legs on saturday.
