SS Maco Aussie Smoker - Anyone used one before?

Anyone ever used one of these units?  Did a search and came up bust looking for the thing on here.  Wondering if it is an alternative to getting a WSM at almost twice the cost.

price seems OK, but you never know.

I need to get a smoker and the Home Depot here only carries the 18 1/2" WSM.

Thoughts?

The website was out of service, so I can't comment.  A search on Bing also turned up nothing substantial beyond an electric Aussie smoker, so I would say keep looking if the WSM doesn't appeal to you....

The WSM is very appealing to me, but to get one here is really going to be a hassle and spendy too.   Always looking at options.  Thanks

I own one, but I got it from a garage sale for 5 bucks and it's missing the water bowl so I've haven't got the chance to use it.  It seems like it's decently built and is pretty much the same as the Weber comparing side by side, I'm sure the Weber is better, or this forum would have more Maco's being run

size of it would be like the 18 1/2 WSM...so I guess I'll continue my internal battle of going with either a full size WSM or a MES 40 - either one will have to specially shipped here. I need to find someone with an employees discount!!!!
