Spares are on for my third smoke this weekend

The weather has been abnormally cool this weekend (below 100) and i just couldn't stay away from the smokers. I got some spares trimmed down St. louis style, rubbed a bit and on the drum..

I'm debating on the spritz technique or mopping with a molasses / rum / vinegar mix.. any thoughts?

I mixed up a simple mop for this go -round

1/4 cup molasses

1/2 cup rum (bottom shelf)

1/ cup apple cider vinegar

justa good squirt of yellow mustard

Three hours into the smoke i put it on...

Those look awesome! I did some yesterday and they turned out great. I usually spritz with apple juice, but I really like the recipe for your mop. It looks thin enough to use in a bottle, it's just easier for me that way, I'm a lazy sack of poo.

Quick tip. If you're gonna use a small mop like mine, get it thoroughly wet before dipping into the mop sauce. this will prevent it from wicking up a third of your sauce...

This was 3 1/2 hours in...  You just can't beat a drum!

The mop is working well. I flipped over the "snack meat" and licked my fingers.... OHHH YEAH!

As I was applying the final mop, the Diamondbacks were on the radio (beating the Cards) and they were playing God blees America during the sixth.. Here's my view over my fence
