Those rips look very nice and quite yummy too. Did you sear them or did smoke them at a high heat. Now for that cajun rub your talking about whats the name if I may ask. It really nice to see there is actually someone else that doesn't trimm their ribs. You did fine job with them too.
Here's the cajun rub I have. I think I got it off of here at some point, not sure. I've been trying to keep track of where and who I get these recipes from to give them the credit but this one slid by somehow.
No I didn't sear them. I just put the rub on a couple of hours before sticking them in the smoker at 225.
Cajun Rub (really good on smoked burgers too)
2 tablespoons paprika
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons onion powder
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons cayenne
1 1/2 teaspoons ground white pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon dry thyme leaves
1 teaspoon oregano leaves
1. In a jar with a tight sealing lid, shake together all the ingredients. Store in jar.
Can be used on pork chops, small roast or tenderloin. Makes about 1/2 cup.
The untrimmed ribs look very nice. Seems everyone does St Loius, I like the tips and all for the long rib. Thanks for the rub break down. Very nice looking dinner.
Actually the only reason they are not trimmed is because I don't know how. Can you point me to a link so I can see how to trim them? I'm just curious.
Thanx for all the comments.
