Hey everyone, my name is Kyle from Ste. Genevieve, MO, but all my friends call me Pipes. I am relatively new to smoking foods, but it is quickly becoming my obsession! Last summer my friend began to show me how to smoke foods using his Yoder pellet grill. Since then I have been hooked, although I decided to try with some less expensive equipment. I started smoking food this spring using my four burner propane grill as a smoker using only one burner, and actually had some great results. So next I built an Ugly Drum Smoker, but haven't used it yet, as my buddy who built one with me still needs to paint them. While building the UDS, my Grandpa gave me his old Brinkman Smoke n Grill, which he didn't use. I keep it around and use it occasionally. My recent purchase has been a Masterbuilt extra wide 40" propane smoker, which I just used this past weekend for the first time. Like I said, smoking food is becoming my obsession, and I enjoy reading all the great info I can pick up from these forums. I look forward to hearing your success stories and advice, and hopefully sharing my success as well!

Hello Pipes, welcome to the forum. Sounds like you got hooked right away, Post some pictures of your equipment.

Gary, how do I change my profile picture?

Here is a picture of my UDS, pre paint:
And a picture of my charcoal basket. I built the handles to be used to hold a heat deflector if I want to use one:
This is my masterbuilt extra wide propane smoker and one of my 3 biggest fans of my cooking:

Up at the right top of the page where you see your name (Smoking Pipes) if you hover over that you will see a drop down Select from that or you can click on it and it will open a page where you can choose,
