Does anyone have a source for economical cast iron feed doors for the fire box?  I prefer one with damping ability.  I have considered an old wood stove bur that would not have a frame for installation into the masonry.

Have you looked at a Barrel stove kit from your farm supply store, they come with a door with a frame, and the door has a slide damper built into it, its big enough for chunk wood.

You probably wouldn't need the whole kit, just the door, but maybe somebody else would need the legs and other parts to repair a wood stove they had.

Newbie here!!!  I love the cedar smokehouse by Nick.  Is that door and frame on Ebay complete for what I would need?  Frame and door?  Just thinking that's a good price and could start collecting pieces now!

You can find those Barrel stove kits at your local farm supply stores and even Menards and Lowes from time to time, that way you can get your hands on them and look at them prior to purchase, they are all pretty similar, and then you can pick the one you like from local/online.
