Well, saw some beef backed ribs and some shorts on sale at WD, so picked up a bunch. Wife wanted hers with MDM rub, me with Mojo Crillio.

MDM’s FINGER LICKIN’ RIB RUB

Dry Ingredients–Only

1/3 Cup granulated sugar
1/3 Cup brown sugar
3 tspn. Old Bay Seasoning (sh-h-h, secret ingredient of MDM)
6 Tbsps. Kosher Salt or Coarse Mediterranean Sea Salt
¼ tspn. of paprika
1 tspn. dry mustard powder

2 Tbsps. ground black pepper
1 Tbspn. garlic salt
1 Tbspn. dried onion
1Tbspn. dried basil

Onto the smoker at 225º for around 4 1/2 hours. For wood I went with Turkey Oak and Cherry. An occasionally spray of Apple Cider Vinegar and Apple Juice with a splash of Makers Mark.

After about 3 hours or so.

I also had a Sweet Onion on. Fixed up with some minced garlic, butter and a beef bullion cube.

At 4 1/2 hours off it all came

Some fresh garden salad, some Kasteel's Triple, Candy Corn, ABT's, Sweet onion and for the wife with her ribs, she used Blue Front Sauce while I stuck with my modified Jeff's.

Sure were tasty and Scooter the dog just loved his beef ribs too.

Nice smoke, Flash! Good lookin' meal too.

Interesting ingredients in the MDM rub. I may have to see about trying that sometime...wife can't have much sugar, so, Splenda would be the answer to that problem. I'm just not accustomed to using much sugar in the base rub...I sometimes sprinkle it on after the meat is over 150-160, or for ribs when the pull-back starts to show.

Thanks for sharing a good smoke with us!

Excellent looking ribs and great looking corn, too! Butter/sugar variety hard to come by here, most of it is Georgia yellow.

Very nice ribs! Got a couple packs planned for this weekend. I will definitely give the sprits with apple cider vinegar a try---sounds real good

Thanks everyone. Yeah, I was alittle surprised by all the sugar....but its gotta be better than a lot of salt

Really you do not notice it in the finished product, in fact they warn you more about the "heat" from the rub, which I really don't notice either.

Flash, excellent meal my friend. Thanks for sharing the Q View with us, great pics.

Man I like beef ribs too and that rub sounds really good too. I'm taking that one ok. Pal, Buddy, friend.
