I have smoked turkeys many times and never have brined one, just always inject them

Well this year someone gave me a tip, use one of those large zip loc bags like you use for clothes and seal it up in that and drop in the cooler. WORKS GREAT.

Well brined both the one I did for Wife's Boss and ours each for 24+ hours(used molasses, honey, brown sugar, peppercorns, bay leaves, sea salt for brine)

Got ours on the hot smoker smoker at 6 am today and after 3 hours on the smoke(cherry wood chips every hour) I started spraying turkey with apple juice

Took turkey off smoker at 11:30 and let it rest 30/40 minutes and this was the best turkey EVER

Very moist and extremely tender. Could not get over how much difference the brine made:thumbsup:

Same here but we used brine this year too with amazing results. Here's a pic of ours!! 20 pound turkey smoked in a master built electric smoker for 5 hours with cherry wood!

Could not agree more. Brined our first turkey Thanksgiving. Turned out so well we did another one for X-Mas, see my post (Christmas Turekey with Q-View)

Recommend you try the Chef Jimmy J brine in my post

Merry Christmas
