So far this is a good site. I came across it when I was asked by my neice to make pulled pork for her graduation party. It had been at least a year since I smoked anything. I was looking for finishing sauces and a good cole slaw recipe, I had lost the previous ones I had. I ended up smoking 32lbs of pork butt, waaaay too much for the amount of people. But hey the meat is cheap. I ended up making a Carolina Mustard vinegar sauce that was spicy and great (most people love it) the other was a Red vinegar sauce. And of course no pulled pork sandwich is complete without cole slaw. It was so simple and tasty. I stayed away from the mayo infused slaw and went with vinegar based. I have also smoked ribs, brisket, and ham. My next venture is Rib Roast. I look forward to learning alot and hopefully contributing. Right now I use an upright gas smoker that works fine. When I get the courage and patience I give the traditional smoker a try.

Welcome, welcome to SMF! Ever hear of a little place called Saranac Lake. That's where this cat lives. I too have a propane smoker. It works fine. I smoked all last winter (except from the middle of January to the end of February). If you have questions, the friendly folke here at SMF will make answer.

Take care, have fun, and do good!

Regards,

Meowey

Potsdam is not that far from Saranac Lake. I coach hockey teams that playup there. I also am the holder of the last "Green Jacket" awarded at Snuffy's Bar Masters indoor golf tournament. I've had alot of fun in Saranac. What do you think of Eddies new commercials for Tail of the PUP?
