Hi All:

After a ton of research I bought a Weber Smokey Mountain18.5" smoker for Father's Day (2013).  I've been using a Weber gas grill for years and thought it was time to take the next step and start smoking.  So far, I've smoked 2 pork shoulders (for pulled pork), 2 racks of ribs, and a whole chicken.  Everything turned out great except for my first pork shoulder (didn't know the temp should be ~195... pulled it at 165... rookie mistake).  My second attempt at a pork shoulder was perfect!

I came across this forum while researching smokers and techniques and I seemed to land on this site more often than other sites.

I look forward to hearing about what everyone is smoking... learning about their process... and sharing my own experiences.

What's everyone planning on smoking for 4th of July?  Me?  I'm going to try to smoke a couple more racks of ribs.

Talk to you later!
