Smoking Wood

Hello to everyone!

I live in Swaziland (Africa), I would like to know what wood to use for smoking red meat? We have quite a variety of trees down here, and who better to ask than the ultimate maestros of meat smoking. I'd also appreciate any tips you may have, I'm a novice. Ta!
