smoking salt ?

  1. I smoked some sea salt while I was smoking ribs and I don't like the flavor..Salt was above the ribs...used hickory...

    Ellie, How long did you smoke it? How hot did the smoker get? Maybe wait a few days and try it again as resting always helps improve taste. Hickory is a stronger wood. Maybe try a fruit wood or alder next time. Much lighter flavor.
