Don't really need much for Prime rib, the flavor of the meat and marbled fat gives it great flavor. I usually rub with EVOO some sea salt, cracked pepper and garlic. Of course serve with Au Jus or some horse radish sauce.
Heres one I did about 10 days ago. It was rubbed with: 2 tbs. Kosher salt,2 tbs. Paprika, 1 tsp onion salt, 1 tsp garlic pepper, 2 tsp black pepper, then sat on the counter for an hour to warm up a bit while I got the pit up to 250.
Do you smoke in a pan when doing a ribeye or put it directly on the grate? I luv his site.. To much to try to take in so i am making me a notebook with all the tips i have found on different topics... Thanks bunchs
Ultramag did prime a good while back (read year or two), if you do a search it should be there. His was most fine looking. Think he may have done it on his BDS.
