Hey there from Columbia, SC. I am an amateur smoker. Been smoking for about 2 years now. I have an electric Master-built Smoker. I have tried smoking hams, ribs, steaks and turkey's so far. I am interested in talking with other smokers to share and compare recipes and ideas. I have also have only tried using two types of wood: Mesquite and Apple. I have found that combining both of them has been a pretty good mix so far!! Anyways I guess that's about all for now. looking forward to meeting new fellow smokers and helping each other get better at what we love to do.

Welcome to the board! Apple is perhaps the most versatile wood, it goes with just about anything. I'm burning windfall maple these days.
