Hey guys, I'm Brian from Monroe, LA. I donated my Rival KC Smoker to my trash guys and picked up a Brinkmann Split Door charcoal smoker yesterday (on clearance at Wal-mart). I am most definitely just learning, and the KC Smoker wasn't the best thing to learn with. If the rain holds off I'm going to try seasoning the Brinkmann when I get off work, and I'll try a pork butt either tomorrow or Saturday to see how things work out. Thanks for the great site, and I'll have some pics for you guys no matter how bad it turns out.

I had a good friend once lived in West Monroe. He said they had to pump sunshine into that place. I went there...he was right!

Welcome along Brian, glad to have you. Some of us are not pros, so please post your Qview good or bad. We all can learn from each others mistakes and the pros that are here help us newbies out by teaching us where we went wrong and how to do things better next time. I screwed up some ABT's and by posting them anyway found out why I messed them up. So get ready to welcome your new addiction.
