I wanted to smoke up a bunch of different appetizers for the playoffs this Sunday, but the temperature is supposed to be around 22 in Northeast Ohio. Add to that a little bit of snow. Can I pull this off? Am I going to just have a disastrous time trying to smoke in that cold weather? Or should I plan on ordering some wings in?

Mind you this would only be my third smoke on my new smoker.

Sorry. Siri didn't correctly tell you that i have a smoke vault 24.

I'm just going to do some apps.
Maybe meatballs, Mac and cheese, ABTs, wings, poor mans burnt ends. Random small things I've found on here.

Thanks

I am not familiar with your smoker try holding it at 250* to 300* you should be able to blow the items right out good luck

May the smoking weather gods bless ya

You will have no problem with your propane smoker. I have run mine in single digit temps many times. It will take more fuel so be sure and have a full tank.

Wind is a bigger issue than temps. If needed fashion a screen out of plywood to help with that. It only needs to be high enough to protect the lower intake vents. If you do use a wind screen be sure and leave 2"-3" between it and your smoker.

Good luck and show us your smoke.

The Smoke Vault has a big enough burner to run in any temp. Good luck, sounds like a great bunch of appetizers.
