Smoking Cheese with Qview

  1. So I saw that we have a new group called the wisconsin group which made me think of Cheese so to celebrate I am smoking some cheese.  I use a bread pan that the Mrs. did not want and drilled some holes in the bottom, and light off about three pieces of charcoal and cover with charcoal.

  3. Well here is the final product of monterey jack and cheddar cheese, side note hard time keeping the temp down.  Usually when I smoke cheese it is usually well below zero (today it was plus 5).  Now the toughest part is the wait time (at least two weeks).

  4. What temp do you use for smoking your cheese and how long do you smoke it for?

  5. I tied to keep it below 90 deg F as cheese starts to melt past there.  (got watching sports and temps started to get away on me [​IMG]  )    I put a tray of water in there to help with a bit of a heat sink.  I usually smoke it for 2-2.5 hrs.  Hope this helps
