Does anyone know where I can buy a small alligator that can be shipped to smoke? I just saw some dudes doing it on bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern and want to try this on my own. Any advice is welcome! I'm willing to pay plenty of money to do this!

Thanks,

Blake

A real quick look on Google turned up this.  http://www.alligatormeats.com/  I know nothing about them, your mileage may vary.... yada yada...

Alligator is nothing special and chicken would be close in this case.

Good luck.

I can't agree with that statement. I think alligator is delicious, and if I were to try and describe it, it's a cross between chicken and seafood.

I've searched for alligator numerous times on the internet, and don't recall ever seeing where you could buy a full one. But, I bet sending an email to one of the farms would lead you in the right path.

Here's a Smoked Gator, by "Leah", an awesome cook.

You could ask her where she got her Gator. (She's in Connecticut---Not many Gators up there)

Tell her "Bear sent you".
