First time cooking a bird, I should have run a test run but NO, I have a bradley digital and I can not get the temps up, I have it set at 300 and after one hour the thing only got up to 242 so I wanted to go out hunting and I put the bird in at 6:30 am well at 8:30 2 hours later it is at 232deg. I had the bird in a brine for a day and a half and eat time is at 1pm. If at a certain time I am not up to a certain temp should I stuff it in the oven and if so how long do I need to give that ? I put my drip pan in with a can of chicken broth in at 8:30 am and now my temps are at 210 Should I be concerned also about get it to a temp for safety reasons ?
