Smoking 1/2 Chickens

  1. So I am expanding my smoking habit. Just got a new vertical smoker for Fathers Day. Thinking about doing 1/2 chicken and am curious if it would be better to cook them cavity side down or skin side down, any tips or advise would be appreciated.

    Welcome to the SMF! I just smoked thighs skin side up, and they were very tender and juicy. I don't think it really matters.
