Hey y'all my name is Chaz. Originally from FL but relocated to TN. I'm a newbie to smoking but have been grilling for years. I got my first taste of smoking when I was in the Army using a charcoal grill turned smoker. I stumbled onto this site while searching for smoker plans and recipes. I do have to say that I am amazed at the level of knowledge and the willingness to share with others that I have seen on here. I am really looking forward to becoming a member of this great community.

Howdee Howdee Chas, first, Thank you for your service.

Now, is this place awesome or what? The search engine knows everything. Seriously there is recipes for smoked eggs. Think about it eggs...... The Guru's are so good, they can offer assistance based on your equipment, your smoke, your meat and do it to your specific region!

I will make a suggestion, if you are starting to smoke, start a kill book like a sniper. The more you put in the more you get out. meat, time, temp, weather, IT, smoke, brine, mop, rub, all those thing you do and when. then the next day add what you learned and would like to try different next time. My memory is no longer than....... anything else on my body. So I use a notebook, you may be more comfortable with a card-ex or recipe file or a flash drive. Everyone here is eager to help because we all need help still, some of us more than others.

Glad you came by, if I can be of any assistance please let me know. But I ain't painting your garage!

Again thanks for your service.
