Just wanted to say hello from So-Cal. Long time eater short time smoker. Bought a 22 in WSM. Smoked ribs a few weeks ago and a tri-tip yesterday. Came out pretty good. Having a little trouble keeping the temp down but working on it.

Welcome. I got one recently and it runs a little hot, but webers site says it does that for a couple cooksw. Mines been running about 250*.
 
Thanks for the welcome looking forward to lots of good advice. Caveman I grew up in the S.F Valley (West Hills) but now I live in Thousand Oaks.

I used to live in the Townhomes by the Royal Buffet on Wardlow between LB Blvd and Atlantic. That was during my days in McDonnell-Douglas. From there, I moved to Thousand Oaks.
