I am shopping for a new smoker and have decided between Gator Pit horizontal offset with 1/2" thick metal or a vertical insulated cabinet smoker.  I live in central Missouri and need a smoker that I can use 12 months out of the year.  Does anybody know if I would be able to use a 1/2" thick metal smoker in outside temps down to 0 degrees or do I need to go with the insulated cabinet?  Thanks in advance for any feedback.
