Smoker Question

Long time lurker, first time poster. Wanting a good first smoker, think this is a NB black diamond? $200 too high to pay for this?

Howdy BirdDog...

Hard to say without some other information...How thick and heavy is it? Inside in good shape? Are there grates in it? Does she seem tight? Can you look in the firebox and see light coming through? 

Don't forget to take in to account any kinds of tweaking or mods that you might pay for later on it. That thermometer is up on top of the smoke chamber...you'll probably want to add two more down closer to the grates. 

Just a few things to take in consideration, and to mention to the person you are buying it from. Might get them to come down on the price a bit! For 200 smackeroos...I would think you could get something nicer and brand new, too.

Thanks for the advice! I'm asking for a few more pictures and details about the inside. Wasn't sure if it's even a NB smoker, didn't see a badge on the outside

Happy to help...I'm not an expert by any means, those are just some of the things I would look for and ask about.
