Smokehouse build

    I am new to smokehouses. I want to build a wooden smokehouse and smoke sausage, bacon, ham and things of that nature. Any advice on height, size, ceiling etc. I'm thinking about 4' x 5' and 6' high with a gable roof. I have some 1/2" rough oak boards to build with. Plan for an outside firebox for smoke and propane burner inside for heat. Any advice will be appreciated.
