Smoked Turkey

Injected with:

1/2 Stick Butter

8 oz. White Wine

1 TBSP Garlic

Coated with olive oil and steak seasoning

Smoked for 4 hours to an internal temp of 165°

225° for 4 hours in my pellet grill

12" Tube Smoker filler w/Pecan and 2" of 100% Mesquite at the end

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Looks like you know what's going on! Nice looking bird.

Did the mesquite kicker do much for the flavor? I've pondered it, but haven't tried it yet with poultry.

225°, then bumped it up to 300 at the end to get over 165° internal

Nope, 4 hours total

Tube Smoker was burning the entire time

I like a little Mesquite, but not too much, especially on poultry

Looks good.  Thanks for the details.  I've smoked a few turkeys in my Weber grill and Brinkmann smoker.  Just got the pellet smoker this summer.  Always nice to have someone help you with the learning curve.
