Fired up the Vision S-Series Professional today, and threw on a couple of chunks of hickory. My wife had seen ground turkey was on sale and picked up a pound yesterday. This morning I made it into burger patties with garlic salt, Cajun seasoning, crushed red pepper, fresh chopped onion, Dijon mustard, and some bread crumbs.
I got the kamado fired up and then dialed back the vents to smoke the burgers. After about 15 minutes, I opened up the vents to up the temperature to a grilling temperature. The burgers came off the grill with a really nice smoke flavor and they were really juicy! We had grabbed some cheddar onion rolls from the local Sprouts grocery store that were great toasted.
