Smoked these two hunks of beef flesh Sunday as a treat for my sweetie of a wife who loves prime rib.
Just spritzed some olive oil on them & then hit them with kosher salt, fresh ground black pepper, & some garlic powder. In the smoker on the top rack for 2-1/2 hours at 225 with pecan & mesquite until the internal temp hit 130. Asparagus, baby sweet bell peppers, & baked potatoes on the grill & some sour dough bread. Never tried smoking prime rib steaks before & they turned out "real purty" as we say here in West Texas.:biggrin:
