anyone know where to find some good size oysters medium size ones for smoking? im from iowa and how many hours to smoke and what temp as well? thanks

you might try this link it is in the section under non-fish-seafood, as well there are many in the section labled Recipes.

try your local costco they always have shucked oysters in a jar and quite often they will have the road show with them in the shell.

one thing we do is save the better sitting/deeper shells then soak/clean them, then toss them in the dishwasher. this way i always have the shell if all i can get is the jar/shucked version and want to put on t

he bbq.
