We started with

3.5lb.  party wings (could use whole wings)

1-1/2 cup Sweet Baby Rays "sweet and spicy" BBQ sauce

1/2 cup Jack Daniels

2 tbls. brown sugar

Bring that to a simmer for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in:

1/2 cup Plus 4 tbls Dijon Mustard

Allow the mixture to cool completely and pour over wings to marinate for 3 hours (could be longer, but this provided good flavor).

Put into 160 deg smoker with apple smoke for 1 hour, bumped up to 200 deg for additional hour.

Removed and grilled on high heat to crisp up the skin a bit and cook through.

Served with additional BBQ Sauce or Frank's Red Hot....and beer!

Just out of the marinade

After 2 hours of smoke

Fresh off the grill!

My wife like these with BBQ sauce but I think the heat from the Franks Red Hot better compliments the smoke and JD flavors.

Thanks! The smoke and the Franks really go well together. Also healthier than deep fried wings....If your into that kinda thing.
