Hi all,

I'm going to smoke a mess of wings this weekend for my lady's birthday. I'm going to do about a dozen basic brined and rubbed ones with Chef JimmyJ's chicken brine recipe(a little spicy), a couple dozen with Scarbelly's various recipes (spicy), but I also wanted to do a dozen that are more neutral in spice, perhaps with a whiskey component. I wasn't able to find any suggestions on here about using whiskey in a brine or marinade for smoke wings. A google search also yielded unreliable results.

Can anyone point me to a good marinade/brine/rub in which I could use a whiskey?

Sounds like a good time to experiment. Make sure you document what you do and if it turns out good we can try it too. I don't know of one for poultry but I don't see why not.
