I want to make some sauce less smoked buffalo wings this weekend. My thought was to let the wings soak in straight franks hot sauce overnight. Then just put them right on my Ugly Drum Smoker at 300 degrees. Any other ideas are much welcomed. Thanks.

Mike, I see you are from Gulfport. I am originally from New Orleans. Every summer the family would spend a week at the Broadwater in Biloxi. My parents still go to gulfport a few days a month for the casino's.

Yep try injecting them, it is by far the best way to go. You can use anytye of marinade you like, teriyaki, hot sauce, Italian dressing, etc... My favorite to make though are these:

I second this! just great! I made these about 3 times in the last month and going to do it again!  my wife says she doesn't like wings. she is picky and like only the boneless type. opposite attract i guess. but now she requests these!

I used my own rub and a different injection but i came out great.

I used garlic herb butter instead of creole butter. that what they had at the store :)

my rub:
  • 1 TBS Fine Sea Salt
  • 3 TBS brown Sugar
  • 2 TBS Ancho Chili powder
  • 1 tsp Ground Pepper
  • 1 tsp granulated onion powder
  • 1 tsp granulated garlic powder
  • 2 TBS Paprika Hungarian
  • 2 TBS Tomato Powder
  • 1 tsp lime juice powder
  • 2 TBS honey powder
  •
  • 1/2 tsp coriander
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp ginger
