Both of them are available locally, which one should I get? Im pretty handy so making the mods on them wont be a problem. Which one is better?
  2. Look at weight....Thickness of material....Mass etc.
Mass = greater heat retention ~~~ Greater heat retention = Better Cooking and less fuel. HTH

I've got a CG, but recently got to get a good look at the SNP. My observations are:
The CG Super Pro has a larger cooking area in main chamber.
The CG Super Pro entire upper half is hinged to open as opposed to just a door on the cooking chamber on the SNP. The SNP might retain more heat when mopping or spritzing food. On the other hand, could limit the amount and/or size of food.
The SNP has a larger firebox to smoke chamber proportion, may contribute to being able to get hotter temps/longer burn times.

    Just my opinion.

When I got mine, the chargriller was the clear winner because of the ash pan & the cast iron grates.
