Smoke House Liners

The edges are smooth. I think this board is mostly held together with resin like said it is used in commercial kitchens health dept approved because it is washable. there is no loose fiberglass fibers exposed after cutting . Can be found at home centers such as Lowe's.You could caulk the corners with high temp caulking.

Need to resend this idea I checked with manufacture and they do not recommend this use. Takes heat up to 130 before discoloration the base is polypropylene and would emit fumes.So do not use as a liner for a smoker. Sorry but better safe then not.

Warren, morning...  Did the manufacturer send that to you in print  ??  I would like that so I can answer future questions, for members, about it's use in a smoker...  Dave

No they did not that was just from a phone conversation. I have used this product and when sawing it it does have a strong odor. The basic build up is polypropylene and fiberglass is the binder.

The name of the product is Sequentia the manufacturer is CRANECOMPOSITES. It also is only a 1/8" thick but that would not have been a problem.  Hope this helps I was disappointed I though I had maybe came up with a good idea.

I looked into it a bit,  if we are talking about the same stuff it is called FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) board,  it has a temp range of 150 to 215,  probably a little lower than I would want to risk if this is going to be a dual purpose smoke house.  I am hoping to be able to do up to 270 in there.
